Position Summary
The Zappix Marketing Associate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans.
You will operate at the center of the Zappix marketing strategy, working cross-functionally with both Leadership and the Direct & Partner sales teams to analyze and pivot company positioning and messaging tactics as needed. You should have a firm grasp of traditional and modern marketing methods and best practices, and be well versed in what works well and what doesn’t. An ability to wear different hats and genuine interest in all forms of Marketing should be part of what fuels you (basically, you should be seeking to learn all the time!)
You should be skilled in directing and executing creative production, strong with reporting and analytics, and think like an entrepreneur. You should have strong project management skills, inbound and outbound digital marketing experience, and the ability to express yourself well in written and verbal communication. An affable personality and good sense of humor is a plus! We are a small and agile team that loves collaboration and camaraderie. You will need to be creative and resourceful, and have the ability to manage your priorities with a significant degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the company’s Marketing Calendar

Manage content creation — copy, images, video — for all communication channels, online (including social media) and offline

Marketing collateral: manage stock of brochures, presentations, and promotional items

Own process for updating existing material and creating new collateral

Lead generation — work closely with the sales team to plan and execute B2B marketing campaigns that drive key business initiatives

Support Direct and Partner sales teams with sales materials, positioning strategy, and competitive analysis

Front-end website management and development for Zappix.com, including design, SEO / SEM, and copywriting

Track and measure results. Revise marketing plan as needed to achieve goals; ongoing reporting of results

Conduct ongoing market research. Keep up with competitors and market insights

Write and edit marketing copy including paid advertisements, website copy, thought-leadership style blog writing, and key sales collateral

Publication of corporate press releases

Lead trade-show planning and execution
Qualifications & Skills
-
University degree or college diploma in business, marketing, journalism, communications, or related field

2+ years experience in B2B marketing

Well organized, strong attention to detail, able to manage several projects simultaneously

Ability to develop strong relationships with coworkers and enjoy working on a small, close-knit team

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Experience with a start-up or scale-up tech or SaaS company

Highly collaborative, and also comfortable working autonomously

Strong computer skills, especially Google Suite

Front-end website management experience (WordPress and experience with Elementor or Divi a plus)
